Table Scraps: Happy 2022!
Well, if you’re reading this, we made it. We may be worse for wear, but here we are, thriving. Or at least surviving.
To be honest, I had a rough go of it towards the end of the year. My job’s funding ended November 30th, so I hit the pavement (per se), trying to find a new gig as soon as humanly possible. I luckily stumbled upon a pretty normal, decent job, one that I’m excited to actually sink my teeth into once the holiday fervor dies down. So needless to say, I wasn’t too keen on updating MPCC while I kept blasting out my resume and cover letter.
But I’m back! And so are Kitty and Little Coconut. We’re ready for a new year and fresh beginnings.
Curious about dog park body language? Martha’s Garden in Seattle has a great rundown of what works, and what is a red flag. You may already love Samrin Nosrat, but have you met her dog, Fava Bean?! SO CUTE. And speaking of cute, the adoption video from The Dodo for Texas pup Hank is pure, adorable gold.
Has anybody caught The World According to Jeff Goldblum’s feature on Dogs (s2, e205)? I just signed up for Disney+ so it’s on my radar (and in my queue). If you’re on the younger side and thinking about adopting a dog, Field Notes with Gabby Phi (on the Maeve site) is a moving interview. And finally, Andrew Knapp (of Find Momo fame) has a great newsletter that finds its way to my inbox every month. This month has a 2022 challenge, and while it’s not necessarily related to pet life, it definitely gave me pause (paws?):
And with that, here we go, 2022! Glad to see you on my journey, friends!
Stay safe,
MPCC xx
